Landau was 2nd out of 26 at his performance test in 1991 where he scored especially high in the dressage. In 1992 he was awarded the Championship at the final grading. His foals have done exceptionally well in conformation classes - in 1993 17 foals were shown, all 17 were awarded 1st prize, with 5 championships and 7 reserve championships being won. 3 of his foals went on to qualify for the "foal-of-the-year" finals.
Landau's sire, Leonardo II is an international Grand Prix Dressage horse, originating in Germany with a stud and competition career in both Denmark and USA. Leonardo II has 5 graded sons and is one of the most sought after sires of competition horses.
Landua's mother was herself an accomplished show-jumper and both her sire, Martell, and her grandsire Mangon are known as top producers of competition horses with emphasys on show-jumpers.
