Mon Ami is fully graded and performance tested with the Danish Warmblood Society where he was 5th out of 26. He was awarded 10 for his behaviour in the stable.

At the performance test he was described as: "A loving and willing stallion with an exceptionally good temperament and a good character. The Stallion works supply and with good rhythm in all three paces. The stallion shows good and elastic jumping both over a course and cross country. General competition abilities exceptionally good."

Mon Ami is a very elegant, extravagantly moving stallion with an exceptional performance pedigree. He is trained as a dressage horse (has attained grade B in Denmark).

Mon Ami has an index of 123 placing him in the highest 2.5%

Mon Ami's offspring include Miss Dior (National Champion 2-year-old, 1995, Gold Medal, 1996), Minuit Monfils, Cranswick's Mon Filou & Marika (Champion colt and filly foals 1996), Mon Amour (Winner of performance test for mares at Vilhelmsborg and Bronze Medal, 1997), Cranswick's Monte Carlo & Lee's Mon Sarami (Champion colt and filly foal 1997), Verona Gravvænge (Silver Medal 1998), Marengo (Champion Stallion 1998 - currently competing in Intermediare I as an 8-year-old), Mon Dieu & Elenora (Champion colt and filly foal 1998), Cranswick's Montrachet (covering permision and performance tested 1999), See some of his offspring

Mon Ami's sire, Mi Amor, has stood at stud in France, Holland and Denmark. He was extensively competed in Holland as a grade A show-jumper, but was also reserve dressage champion in 1984. His lines include Aiglovan (also sire of French State Stallions Iob de Fondelyn and Esma de Fondelyn) and goes back to Aiglonne - Gold Medal winner at the Olympics in Eventing.

Mon Ami's dam is a silver medal mare. Her lines include Radautz, trained as a Grand Prix dressage horse by Baroness von Kleist, but later converted very successfully to showjumping by Manfred Hansen with a puissance record of 2.13 metres. Radautz had 6 graded sons in Germany. Mon Ami's mother-line also includes Gazal VII, best ever stallion at the Babolna Stud and responsible for 15 graded sons in Germany.

Mon Ami's official foal description is:

" Suitably sized, noble and short-coupled foals with good expression. Good to exceptionally good type. Pretty heads, medium length, well set, well shaped necks. Short to medium length shoulders. Medium length, but well shaped withers. Good top line. Long muscular quarters. Limbs fine and straight, but some a bit upright in front. Movement good to exceptionally good. The stallion stamps his foals positively, especially as regards type and movement. The stallion can be used on a wide variety of mares. The description is based on inspection of 29 foals in Denmark and England."
